Have garage queen... Generally speaking, it accumulates dust that eventually adheres to the paint. Is that "contamination"?
Feed back please. :buffing:

I would not consider dust to be contamination. If it gets wet then maybe. Brake dust, acid rain, overspray and fallout are considered contamination and may need a chemical cleaner and clay. I guess you could consider dirt to be contamination, but if your paint is well waxed/sealed, soap and water should release it from your paint.

I've always considered "contaminants" to be anything on the paint that could cause damage whether short term or long term, mechanically or chemically. If it isn't part of the paint or clearcoat....It's contamination!

First of all:
Define dust; and/or "type of dust"

Secondly:
How, and from where, was it generated.

Third most:
:Picture: ...Thanks.

Dust from sitting in my high rise condo garage... Because I
live close to downtown Chicago, I rarely take the car. Crazy parking issues and unless I'm going to the burbs or getting
groceries at Costco, etc. I don't use my ride. Dust from the
garage starts accumulating shortly after it's been washed.
😫😫.
Not able to take pics because I'm computer challenged! 😪😰

Your vehicle sounds like a good candidate for a cover...
Maybe some cotton flannel sheets.

Whenever my vehicles get dusty like that, I'll try to use compressed air and QD spray to get rid of it all.
