...exclusive to Autozone.

Anyone else seen this new line in the black bottles? I ran across them at Autozone over the weekend.

I did some searching and couldn't find the products listed on the Mothers.com site, but I did see an announcement on a twitter link saying the new line is exclusive to Autozone.

I've seen it but don't really know anything about it other than a large company produces it, I guess we need a review of some kind.

Maybe Forrest can chime in on this....

That's interesting...I wonder why they would limit a product to just one retailer like that?

OP were they polishes, waxes, protectants?

There was a wax in a black bottle similar to that of the Liquid Synthetic wax, only the black bottle was smaller and I believe slightly under/over the $7 mark.

There was also a spray wax, I think...no I think it was a detailer product similar to Showtime.

There was another spray product, but I don't recall what it was.

Also, I seen another photo online of another product too, but I don't recall what it was.

In total I believe I've seen 4 new products in that line, all in black bottles saying M Tech. Three were at the Autozone store I was at, and another was online somewhere when I was searching. There could be more than four products offered though, but like I said, I've only seen four.

I thought the waxes had a similar smell if not identical.

Also, with the two spray products that I seen I noticed that the bottles were bigger than those their red bottled counterparts putting them at a good price point as well. Same with the wax, it too was in a smaller bottle but a good price point.

Not saying which was more of a bargain because I didn't really compare down to the coin, but I will say that the price of entry is good.

It's not easy to discern who made these products at first glance, but once you notice that they're beside the red bottled Mothers products it isn't that hard to figure out. Black bottles with a big red "M"...and here I thought red was synonymous with Mothers.

Your right Hoytman they are exclusive to AutoZone. I used to work there before I joined the Army last year. I saw this line at an AutoZone last week in California. Im here on leave for a few days. I messaged Forrest about it them a couple days ago. Apparently they are re-bottled Mothers products, but at a cheaper price. AutoZone asked for them, to try to push sales.

Mothers products at a cheaper price, im game.

Do you happen to know which products they've chosen to re-bottle?

The M TECH trademark is filed in the category of Cosmetics and Cleaning Products.

The description provided to the USPTO for M TECH is:
POLISHES, WAXES AND CLEANERS FOR...
AUTOMOBILES, MOTORCYCLES, RECREATIONAL VEHICLES, TRUCKS, VANS, BOATS, AIRPLANES;
RUBBER, PLASTICS, VINYL, LEATHER, METALS;
WHEEL AND HUBCAP CLEANING PREPARATIONS;
GLASS AND CHROME CLEANING PREPARATIONS;
AND ALL PURPOSE PROTECTANT FOR VINYL, RUBBER, LEATHER, PLASTIC AND OTHER FINISHED SURFACES.

Yes...I'm sure Forrest can further clarify.

I'm not sure why there's confusion on who makes these products - the Mothers name is plainly visible in the front. And yes, we've applied for a trademark on the name.

I also don't think it's fair to AG to discuss products not sold here in their forums.

Why isn't it fair for people to express their opinions?
