I just used this on the roof of my suv which has had Opti-coat on it for about 1 1/2 years. I stopped using it after the roof because the coating booster smells exactly like Isopropyl Alcohol. Does anyone else have this product. Is this the way it is supposed to smell? Ive only had the stuff a couple of months.

Both the DP Paint Coating, and the Pinnacle GL Paint Coatings smell of Alcohol as well.

I suspect this is the carrier agent-chemical needed to be used to keep the good stuff in these products in a soluble suspension.

Thanks for your help Marc. I happen to have a bottle of DP coating which I have not used yet for my other car. You are right. It has the same alcohol smell. As you mentioned I guess that's the way it's supposed to be.

Yep. Lots of coatings have a similar smell.

What effect did it have?

I've found that Iron-X and Iron-X Snow Soap seem to rejuvenate OC 2.0, but mine is still at a slightly reduced performance compared to when new.

I found it gave the car more shine as well as more of a wet look. I really liked it. Another part of the car I used Carpro Reload but I liked Black Label better.

Over the weekend I used the Black Label Coating Booster on our Mercedes-Benz.

Just to note, since we bought this car all it's had on it is the Black Label Surface Coating. Sunday I washed it, technically Jay washed it as I was busy with the Ferrari club members, and then I compounded and polished out a weird stain on the passenger door.

After that I wiped her down with the booster and a soft microfiber towel, that is mist and wipe, mist and wipe.

And here's the SLK after washing, drying and then using the new Black Label Coating Booster on it.

It still looked great before I applied the booster but nothing looks as good as a freshly waxed or in this case, freshly coated car.

Thanks for the input on Opti Coat. I am just torn in between going for which one. But then, for the price, buying Reload seems to be good choice given that it is quite a strong LSP on its own.

Still not to out of topic, I appreciate the review and input.
