In the market for a paint gauge, but have no clue how much to spend or what brands are reliable. I want to 200 at the most. Don't know if that's enough or not? Thanks in Advance.

I think you have the decimal point misplaced. Try 2000 at a minimum.

CM-8801FN from amazon or ebay. One of the upstanding and respectable members here had a nice post on it you could find with a quick search. Very functional and reasonably priced. Just don't expect readings from plastics or a breakdown of each layer of paint.
By upstanding and respectable, I mean other people think of him that way. I think mechanical engineers are not to be trusted. j/k Zach!

Depending on how you define reliable:
$200 may not be enough to spend, and wind up with owning, a reliable brand.
