Found a bottle of this

On the shelf at my local wine and liquor shop. I was very surprised to actually see it on the shelf so I snatched it up. Score!

That's some very expensive stuff there, for something that gets drank! I'm curious how it tastes. Will or have you drank it?

I had it at a restaurant once at 40 bucks an ounce ( did not know it cost that much, price was not on the menu, wife nearly took my head off when the check came!).

Though it is delightful, it's not the best bourbon out there, it's just you NEVER see this stuff on the shelves. They guy at the liquor store said they just put it out and only got one bottle so I had to buy it. I also got a bottle each of the 10 and 12 year olds.

Liquor can get expensive. I've been wanting to try some decent scotch, but seems the good single malt bottles start at 55ish. Far cry from 7.99 a fifth vodka in college.

Try the Balvenie Doublewood for a good intro scotch. You get what you pay for, and a bottle of good sipping whiskey will last you awhile. Look at what people spend on a "good" bottle of wine and you only get 4-5 glasses out of one of those...

Still waiting for you on the samples thread...

JK! I love bourbon and I'm a big fan of Wild Turkey. I've never heard of this bourbon but it looks very interesting. Enjoy!

For a quality scotch I would go with Springbank 10yr. It costs the same as most 18yr. olds, but it's on par with many 21yr olds IMHO.

For a good bourbon you can find pretty easily, search out Blanton's, I'm a huge fan.

Black Bull: A very good, blended scotch whiskey!

Sort of unrelated, but if anyone is a connoisseur of fine wine, please PM me!! I have some really old bottles of wine and champagne - I don't drink so I have no clue if they are good or not!
