So, I was out of town and my GF wanted to get something from the car. She lifted the cover and the tie down grommet left a scratch/mar on the roof.

I talked to Mike Phillips about the issue, he gave me a few suggestions and I dove in.

I started out with a good wash, then clay and of course the sandwich back check.

Next a white pad with the Wolfgang Uber compound. 6 section passes. Wiped clean and no results.

Next Red Pad, Uber, two rounds of passes and the mark was gone!

Clay-ed the rest of the roof, cleaned with Back Label surface cleaner, and then the entire roof with Diamond Paint Coating.

The roof looks great.

This was my first real attempt at correction and I really appreciate all that Mike has put out there for us to learn from, as well as the advice from all of you that make this forum what it is.

Taking a DA to the roof of your car the first time can be a scary experience, but I reviewed the information here again just before starting and away I went.

Tried but they didn't come out well. Very disappointed. Sorry but wanted to give credit were credit was due.
My 2001 F250 is next and there will be a full journal of pics.
