Hello
I would like advice on chrome wheel protection to fight brake dust. I know there are opti-coats out there but I am looking for a good wax or sealant.
On my shelf, I have:
M26
M21
NXT 2.0
DP carnauba

So I dont know if these are good for wheels due to the heat generated from braking.

Would Finish Kare 1000P Hi-Temp Paste Wax be a good choice as it is for high temps?
Then of course there is Wheel Wax but there again I know nothing about it.

AG has a discount running this weekend, so I want to place and order soon as possible.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I use Rejex on my chrome wheels. Keeps them very slick, and easy to clean.

Since you have M21 on your self just apply that, to the wheel's it's a sealant, thus it can withstand some heat, and just reapply the product every other wash, and you should be good

Would a sealant protect barrels also?

Sent from my SPH-L710 using AG Online

NXT 2.0 and M21 are pretty much the same product so either of those would be fine to use.

For future reference, consider your brake pads as part of the problem. My stock Brembo pads dust like crazy. I switched to Hawk Ceramics, practically no dust at all. I also have PBL wheel coating, cleaning is a breeze!

Try collinite metal wax. You'll love it.

If you consider the time factor, CarPro Hydr02 is very hard to beat:

Cleaning wheel treated with Hydr02 sealant. (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=842281)

Rejex for a sealant, but I still much prefer Gtechnics Wheel Armor which is a coating. Over a year and going strong with one coating.
