Unfortunatelly I've got only after pictures...no before and during the correction process.
This car was handled with the utmost respect...it is a 1968 Ford Galaxy with single stage paint, so no room for mistakes, although it has been resprayed somewhere between the 70's or 80's. The car used to be a daily driver in the past but now, the owner drives it ocasionaly only. It was covered in dust and the paint was HEAVILY contaminated.

The process:

1. Car was washed using waterless techniques. Didn't want water getting into crevices I could not dry out.
2. Paint was decontaminated using nanoskin Autoscrub. When gliding the nanoskin though the paint, I could hear the conamination been caught and removed
3. Some parts of the car had to be carefuly wetsanded with 2000 and 3000 grit. Used a foam interface to avoid removeing the natural orange peel.
4. The paint was very hard on this car...to get an effective defect removal, had to do the 1st cut with a wool pad + compound.
5. Polishing was done with D.A and SONAX PF
6. Chrome was cleaned with Megs METAL Polish
7. Engine bay was carefuly cleaned...just a cosmetic clean-up

It was a 4 day correction process and I must say I really enjoyed working on this car.

It's really not. The plastic chrome they put on looks tacky as hell. Black looks way better.

Digging into my files, I could find some before pictures.

This is how dusty the car was when it was delivered.

During the decontamination process, lots of gunk came out of the paint. You can see how "muddy" the water is and how dirty my MF towel got.
