I have an '84 XJ6 that was painted by the previous owner. Single stage, no CC. I believe that's how Jaguar painted these cars also until '86.
Anyway, the car was letting some water in the cabin so I borrowed a car cover to cover it and ended up with a few stains/marks on the fenders, presumably from the cover. I'm looking for input on my options for dealing with them and just general recommendations or advice on paint sealants for this paint. Washing didn't do anything for the fender marks so I thought I'd seek some advice before proceeding.
The inside of the car cover was white, but I came to realize there were some exhaust stains on the inside cover from someone starting the car while the cover was still covering the rear of the car. I don't know what else would cause the marks as they appear to be on top of the paint, rather than revealed by the paint being compromised.
