Wondering all your opinion on the best wheel coating for forged alloy wheels. Looking for durability above all else,

I use opti-coat works great and very easy to apply. For durability it's a permanent coating.

I am over 14 months with one coat of G-technics Wheel Armor on my Vette. Its a garage queen, but still impressed and the Iforged Wheels are uncoated and have not degraded and bead like crazy.

I've applied both Opti-Coat 2.0 and GTechniq C1/C5 to forged aluminum clear coated wheels. I find the beading to be superior with the GTechniq product, but the durability of Opti-Coat is always attracting. Truthfully, sometimes I find Opti-Coat to be very finicky. On one set of my wheels, about a year after the application I found the coating to be gone. I went ahead and applied the GTechniq and have no problems thus far. On the other set of wheels the Opti-Coat seems to be holding up fine.

I think if you were to choose any of these you would have no problems, and they would last for years to come!

I've got Cquartz Dlux on my wheels. I especially liked the slight darkening on my black wheels.

Love the BMW attention to detail - logo valve stem caps - classic.

Can't give it any longevity perks yet, but the surface coating sure made washing them easier yesterday.

Yep, I think it's better than say Colli 845 for sure ;)

I have DP WHEEL COATING on my factory wheels. Been on way before winter. Still going strong!

Curious, what you been using to clean them? Do surfactant wheel cleaners affect the coating? I know people say "you won't need a wheel cleaner - use car wash", but cleaning a wheel with car wash never seems to get it as clean as wheel cleaner - and car wash doesn't foam as well.

I've been using OptiCoat on wheels for this reason. Curious on others opinions.

Really just car wash soap. After the coating was applied, i had no issues with them cleaning up.
