I would appreciate any Duragloss users to review this process & let me know what you think:

1. Wash
2. Clay bar
3. Clean w/ detail spray
4. DG 652-Pre-Cleaner w/ da polisher, light cutting/compounding pad, low speed-maybe 3
5. Inspect & hit any remaining scratches/swirl marks w/ 671 Swirl Mark Remover by hand
6. 601/105 (1:4 premixed) w/ da polisher, polishing pad, speed 3
7. Layer w/ 601/105 again, this time by hand
8. AW
9. Fast clean & shine

I do want to try 501 but don't have any yet, but these are the products I just got so these are what I'm using now.

Cars to use this on now: 2001 Corvette - Black, & 2001 Corvette Z06 - Silver

Thanks

Sounds like a good plan. The daughters car is going on 1 year since using 2 coats of 601/105. This time I am going to try 601/501 then 601/105. I just did this with the RV and the 601/501 really cleaned the white fiberglass.

If there's a sealant that lasts as long as 105 that costs as little, and looks as good...I haven't seen it.

Try step 5 (DG SMR 671) with a DA and polishing pad on speed 5 first, you may be able to skip step 4 (DG 652) all together. You can apply DG 105 with a Black finishing pad on speed 2.

I see nothing wrong with what your going to try and do but the #105/601 combo also goes on thin and when using a machine, well, its going to go and off almost instantly, I suggest applying it by hand, along with #111. Now I've read many people use 105/601 by machine for a good, deep cleaning and that's not a bad idea when needing to do this but it too will be applied/removed almost instantly when using a machine, so keep that in mind.

Good to know info. I only use DG 105 and not 601/105 combo. I've never had an issue with application on Speed 2 with my G110V2 and a flat finishing pad.

I think 501 then 111 will work really well on the silver Z06.
As long as you're getting a lot of DG products, it's nice to have one that cleans exceptionally as well as one with no cleaners if layering is your bag.

Squeaky clean would be the pure cleaner, then maybe the 501 and finishing up with #111 but as us DG users can attest, the addition of #601 into anything BUT Squeaky Clean will enhance your experience when using DG products:xyxthumbs: I couldn't agree more about getting the silver on the Z06 as clean as possible, will make the look POP!
