Hi everyone!
I'm visiting my sister in Vegas while my mom is in the hospital here (doing much better, hoping she will be coming home in the next day or two).
When I came out here, I brought my flex, M105/205, some pads, and microfibers. My sister mentioned that someone had bumped into her car in a parking lot and there was some scratches, paint transfer, etc... Got most of it cleaned up and good to go. I actually wound up going over the whole car with 205 to remove some light swirls, and then topped it with Pete's 53 (yes, I actually flew out here with a bag of detailing goodies, lol).
The car looked like it was in really good shape until I washed it with Dawn to strip all the wax off and see what I was working with... Really wish I would have taken pictures, swirl freaking city!!! What's even more disturbing is she just had the car "professionally" detailed a month ago and was charged over $450 for what I considered a very basic detail, she even paid extra for a claybar "treatment". I clayed the car before polishing, there is no way these guys got clay anywhere close to this thing with the amount of stuff I pulled off. Nevermind the crap left all over the car from these hackjobs using a rotary buffer, I can't tell if it's compound, dried wax, or paint, but this stuff has been left in every little crack and crevice on her car, and it's darn near impossible to remove. I tried with some quick detail spray and microfiber, but it wasn't budging.
Long story short... Any recommendations for a detailer in Vegas she can take her car to for maintenance wash / wax, someone who is trustworthy, and will do a good job? She's a big believer in taking care of her car and likes to get it detailed once a year.
Sorry for the long post, any help would be greatly appreciated.
