After reading so many threads and after reading so many opinions today is the day I'm going to finally pull the trigger a buy a Rupes. And still all the questions haunt me.

15 or 21 or Duetto?
Buy the 5" BP?
Buy a bundle or not?
Is it really worth all that money?

I'm still undecided but I will say this. At 3 o'clock today a decision will be made and so will a purchase.

I went through the same process as you a few months ago, ended up with the 21 and the extra 5" backing plate. Loving it so far, good luck picking one out!

If you haven't seen what KB had to say last night take a look through the three post starting with #65

I have the 21 with the 5" BP set up and I love it.

I have all of them and you really can't make a bad choice. If you work on a lot of large flat panels get the 21. If not the 15 and Duetto are more enjoyable in my opinion. The 21 does require some practice on curved surfaces and in tight spots. I tried the 5" plate on my 21 and didn't care for it.

Congrats on your purchase, you will never look back!

The fact that the vibration is so much less makes it very lustworthy to me. My wrists hurt for a few days after I use my GG6.

Still though I am getting excellent results with my GG6, its tough for me to justify a whole new setup.

I have the 21 and used the 5" backing plate. The thing I like about that is I can switch between a 5" and 6" backing plate.

I've actually been thinking that it would be a pretty nice idea if Rupes or Lake Country made a 3" backing plate. The throw would be insane lol. I would still try out though. I bought 12, 3" pads and they should be coming in today. So if it were invented. I'd have pads to try it out :)

That's where I'm leaning.

I'm in the same position as trying to define which one to go with. Looking forward to your 3 pm decision along with your update once you get and use it. Goal is to place my order for one end of the month as had planned to order a 21 during the holidays buts wanted more information. Wish I could try both before deciding.

In addition, I already have Lake Country flat and Hydro Tech pads, as well as Wolfgang, 3M and Meguiar's polishing products, so I can mix and match.
