Got to Give Credit Were Credit Is Due (https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/ask-mike-phillips-your-detailing-questions/75270-got-give-credit-were-credit-due.html)

Mike Phillips I always give credit were credit is due and have been wanting to thank you for a couple years now.

Been detailing since the late 90's and got to looking in on trying to better by passion (if you will) for my perfection and wanting to do the best job I could with my ability and search and found you and Richard Lin (Octane Guy) to help better my technique.

Anyway's I've been in and out of detailing for the last 4 or 5 years or so because of work and I always would find myself coming and searching you out for your answers for a correct method of doing things the right way and your indepth explanation of showing in detail how to properly go about the correct procedure of doing it right the first time!

Also if you hear something over and over it becomes habit forming and I find that some of my way's of thinking and how I go about or say things I catch and see in your video's you post, I've learned from you.

Even things outside of detailing like the fact that it just dawned on me that your the reason for me watching/listening to TV out in my garage, (you watching and/or listening to your B movies) I had for years the first DVD of when you and Richard made that "how to" video, I like many must have watched that thing a 1000 times over the years until a buddy destroyed it moving around in the case in his vehicle's console.

But I'll stop writing you a book and just wanted to say thanks for helping and teaching me the correct techniques Mike, Appreciate you alot buddy!!

Thank you for the kind words as I really appreciate you're taking the time to share your experience over the years.

Richard and I made that DVD where we buffed out a 1960 Corvette back in 2005 and I believe it was and still is the first and only DVD showing from beginning to end how to buff out a car using a Porter Cable dual action polisher.

The products we used in that DVD are not near as good as what's available today. In fact I've heard M80 Speed Glaze has been or will be discontinued.

The pads we used are too thick for maximum efficiency but back then we didn't have thin pads like we have today.

I've met a lot of people via discussion forums and made a lot of friends all from simply for the most part showing people how to remove swirls and create a show car finish. I find the car hobby in general and forums like this one attract very high caliber people people that are like me and that is genuinely passionate about both their cars... and helping others...

So thank you for your friendship over the years and thank you for taking the time to share this post... I do appreciate it...

Now back to work.... I have PM's FB and YT messages to answer plus the forum is busy and I've been offline since leaving for Mobil Tech Expo last Wednesday...
