how many of you are using microfiber pads as a one step?

what brand of microfiber pad, AIO, or polish/compound do you use as well?

I do a lot of one step polishing or compounding using Lake Country 5.5" UltraFiber pads. It depends on the job, the color, the paint hardness, what the customer is willing to spend, etc. which product I use. Most of the time I get the most overall correction and finish using M-105 on jobs where quick and affordable is the key focus.

HD Speed works great as an AIO with these pads and so does DG #501.

I have done a few with the me guitars microfiber finishing pad and m205 and it's a great combo that finishes down really well. I would think you can use Pf 2500 as we'll and get great results

HD apdapt will also be a good one step too from what I understand.

I have done one customers car with the Uber microfiber pad and FG400 and it finished down great for me. they were thrilled with the results and honestly so was I.

Rupes zephir on either of the rupes pads works very well.

It depends on how hard or soft the paint is. IMO you are not going to be able to finish down very soft paint with any type of microfiber pad with any polish or compound.

I tried using MF pads once for a one step but wasn't for me.
Much prefer the foam pads.

Yes on soft paint you can use MF pads and you can use the MF finishing pad on soft paint which works great.

Yep. Finishing pads work great on really soft stuff with products like 205/HD Polish.

I am wondering what you guys think about what Larry from Ammo said that he uses MF pads for cutting and foam pads are for polishing. (Something like that)

He says it staring at 12:00

That certainly will work but the finishing properties of MF pads are extremely underrated. I have finished many vehicles with MF pads beautifully.

I would like to see pictures please. Just curious! Mf will correct and no doubt make a swirled mess look 100 times better but in my experience foam will correct down to more of a respectable level. Depending on what your clients expectations are, I 9 time out of 10 can get superb results from foam pads as a one step.

Buff and Shine MF pads are nice for one step jobs. Paired up with M205 and Rupes 21 turn great results. Test spot first though!
