Had the pleasure to detail and Opti-Coat this classic Porsche 912. I absolutely love these cars and have been a fan all my life. #The car was recently restored from head to toe and only required some minor paint correction before application. The owner wanted to protect the paint from the damaging salts Long Island is notorious for. Here are some teasers of the detail.

Yes you are reading that right. 400+ microns across every panel. Vehicle was resprayed about 3 years ago. Very little orange peel thankfully.

Overall this has to be one of my TOP 10 favorite details. Paint was very easy to work with and there was plenty of it there!

Nice work. The watermark on each photo is a bit distracting

Do you think it is too large? I designed it quick and liked the design so I didn't play around with sizing much.

"During the winter time, Long Island gets covered in road salt which can severely damage this classic roadster. "

He drives this in winter??

When I went to detail the vehicle, it had substantial road salt build up on the rear trim and panels. To be honest I am not sure how often he drives the car, but I believe it will get getting used a lot.

Thank you Josh! This is one of my favorite models second to the 944. I have a thing for old Porsches.

I do as well. Me and my dad are restoring our '71 T, 3.2 conversion. It's become beyond an obsession. You did great things with that 912! (gotta love those clear coat readings!)

I would border it across the bottom or make it a bit smaller

I do agree it seems to be a little intrusive being so large. I will take your advice and see what I can do. I appreciate the input!
