As the title states does anyone on here use or have used the Mothers Professional line of compounds, glaze and polish? Ive always been somewhat curious about these products because we NEVER hear about them being used and I wouldnt mind possibly giving some of them a shot. It would be nice if I could just get some samples without having to buy the entire bottle. Just something I've been curious about for a couple years now. Hopefully Forrest sees this and can shed some light throw some info in. So guys if you have used any of these Id love to here about your experiences and thoughts.

For refference these are the products im reffering to Mothers Professional Refinishing System, Mothers polishes, Mothers compounds, professional polishes, reconditioning system (http://www.autogeek.net/mothers-professional-refinishing-system.html)

My friend has the compound and polish. I've used the polish, and it was decent definitely not my favorite. I prefer 205 or HD polish.

Here's a link to a thread about Mothers Professional Line http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/42929-classic-ford-s-mothers-go-hand-hand-like-black-w-flames.html

Here's a link from the thread above showcasing an article in classic trucks magazine about a truck my uncle built and sold. 1940 Ford Truck - Custom Truck - Classic Trucks Magazine (http://www.classictrucks.com/features/0403cl_1940_ford_truck/)

There are folks using them. Norton Saint Gobain (of Norton sandpaper fame) sells our pro products exclusively.

PM or email me and I'll get you more info.

I wish I could get my hands on one to try it out. I was about to order the entire line before I left.

I have never used mothers gear. (not saying I wouldn't) However, what I am trying to say is, I wonder why Mothers gets no attention or love. They have been around forever (don't know the specifics) and they even came out on OverHauling (I would have really loved to see the Meguiar's logo though) just a thought

I think alot of people think if you can buy it otc it automatically makes it crap and less superior to far more expensive products when in reality thats not always the case (Look at the results CM8 6MT produces with common store bought products). I use many otc Meguiars and Mothers products on my clients vehicles all with great results. I do however stray away from time to time to try new products that catch my eye but deep down im always loyal to my roots haha.

I'd prefer Mothers over ArmorAll products anyday, but i have not considered purchasing any of their professional products as i did not even know they had them!

Yeah I think alot of people dont know they have them. They dont seem to advertise it as much as the Meguiars folks.

LoL I wouldn't put Mothers on the same level as ArmorAll. People dont know the pro line exists because they dismiss it as just another "otc junk brand".

I enjoy visiting waxforum...
For keeping-up with the "Mother's advertising".
