Jerez Black is a really good looking color, the owner wasn't kidding when he said it turns purple in the right lightings.

Didn't get very many after shots, but there was a 90%+ correction over the entire vehicle. :)

Nice turn around! Gotta love the E9X series M3's. Sad the S65, one of the greatest engines is retired. Sweet E46!

"After one pass of M105 & SIP"

Did you actually do only one "section pass" with M105 & then SIP, or are you saying you worked the compound and polish down on each section?

What products and methods did you use around the M3 logo?

Nice turn around. What was used on the engine bay? I really like how that turned out.

Beautiful work. Love how Jerez Black looks when corrected.

Just curious, did you choose M105 over FG400 after a few test spots?

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. :xyxthumbs:

Only Iron Out was used, apologies for the mix up. Proofreading isn't my strong suit. Thanks :)

"After one pass of M105 & SIP"

That photo was only a pass of M105, didn't mean to include SIP in the description. The vehicle was heavily swirled, but some areas needed extra compounding attention for the RIDS. Didn't mean a single section pass, a full pass.

What products and methods did you use around the M3 logo?

For tighter areas I have a Chicago Electric DA w/ a 3" backing pad, and around badges I spend some time with cotton swabs & detailing brushes and regular cleaners.

Nice turn around. What was used on the engine bay? I really like how that turned out.

Treated with in and out spray & some of Gunk's engine bay products for the degreasing & shining.

Test spots were done on the hood, compounds were between M105 & 3M's extra cut compound. The 3M compound was used on the more heavily swirled areas like the rear & roof, M105 for the more general swirls on the sides of the vehicle. Only used FG400 a on a couple vehicles, still have mixed results.

I know how you feel, the S65 is one of the all time greats. I love my S54 just as much though, BMW's M division is top. Driven a couple E9X M's, the S65 paired with the DCT transmission is a match made in heaven. :) Thanks
