Howdy ho....

Just put my order in for the XMT Light Swirt PC Kit --> XMT Porter Cable 7424 Light Swirl Remover Kit with CCS pads! Free Bonus! (http://www.autogeek.net/xmtpocaliswr.html)

Put in an order for some XMT pad cleaner/conditioner and two grit gaurds.

After putting a three step Meguiars (Clean,Polish,Wax) by hand and still having light swirls and oxidation, I had to opt for the Polisher.

Two questions for you all...

#1 Any additional product recommendations?
Right now, I'm going to follow up the XMT polish w/ the Meguiars Liquid Gold Class Wax.
#2 Apply a final wax by hand or w/ the PC?
#3 Did some searching.. .couldn't find anything specific. What steps/products do you use to clean wheel wells?

:Picture:
Here are two pictures of the first detail I did by hand with the Meguiars three step process, deep crystal products.

I enjoy waxing by hand, especially if it's your car and you aren't on any time schedule.

Wheel wells/wheels: I just bought amazing roll off (trying it tomorrow) and from what i heard, it lives up to it's name and can be had here on the geek. As far as I've read/heard just wet the surface, spray on (follow directions for dilution), let sit and rinse unless your wells are really dirty, then a lil' scrub will do..

there are no acids in ARO so it can be used safel on wheels... Use it before doing the body to avoid wasting your time on overspray!

Cut your credit card in half now before you go broke...lol- sooo many intersting products to try!

Product recomendations (new here on AG so only a few)= Duragloss products are great, and very well priced. 303 protectant is great for all trim (nothing touches my trim except 303).

Hey welcome. Duragloss shampoo is really good and it's cheap.
So we can help you, what products do you have in your arsenal?

Ah yes I remember the good old days when I used to detail by hand....man feels like it's been many years ago hahahaha. Once you polish with a machine it's hard to go back to the manual.

What I recommend is get your self a good clay, Mother's is okay I don't mind it but it does not have a good of abite as others...oh and there are tons of clay's out there the Pinnacle clay is good, Clay Magic is good but Ricardo clay is my best budd. Ricardo Clay = yellow clay.

XMT line up is a good line, that's what I started off with and it's a user friendly product. Good pick.

Looking forward to your experiance and ofcourse the pictures.

Welcoem to AutoGeek....hey do you speak Spanish?

Welcome, Whitespy9!
Nice pictures! Red rocks.

I would stick with waxing by hand, since it is your own car, IMHO. Also I agree - DG, or Duragloss - their car wash and their Aqua Wax, spray wax between waxings, are staples that won't break the bank!
