My windows are driving me crazy. I see tons of good recommendations for glass towels when I search, but all seem to be ordered online. Of course I've procrastinated and would like to clean them up before I do some driving this weekend. Has anyone purchased glass towels at a brick and mortar store that they would recommend?

If it were me, I'd look for some sort of waffle weave at one of the car parts chains. Sometimes they have carrand waffle weaves or some other variety which are decent on glass.

My $.02 - hope this helps.

Have you ever used newspaper? Waffle weave towels are hard to come by in my area for some reason. There are several flat weave towels that work OK. An old pillow case works pretty well also.

Since I discovered Fast Glass Towels, aka. KD Cloth it's hard to go back to more "conventional" methods.

I only use one kind of towel for windows but AGO doesn't sell them :(

Try the disposable Scott Glass Towels, available just about everywhere. I just started using these, so far so good.http://i.walmartimages.com/i/p/00/03/60/00/32/0003600032896_500X500.jpg

Thanks all. I've seen rave reviews for the fast glass towels and will likely check them out at some point. The Scott towels look like a perfect solution for my short term need.

If you have a local Big Lots give them a shot.

I found decent towels that I intend on using as glass only towels at Big Lots. Check both by the kitchen stuff and the cleaning stuff like mops, brooms etc.

Good luck.

Try Pep Boys if there is one near you.

I often use the blue paper shop towels.
No lint and no streaks, when done dispose of it.
That easy.
I use EZ Cream Glaze sometimes to get my glass to shine, 100% streak free with a big time shine.

I found some there too actually! ;)

Some brightly colored flat waffle weave sort of towels. For a couple bucks I figured why not? :dunno: They've been great! I can hit the glass with a regular short nap MF the go back with these and they don't "micro-lint" at all. :D
