BP to accept 3" pads?

I'm looking for a BP for my rotary that will accept 3" pads.
Will this BP work?

Rotary 2 7/8 inch Flexible Backing Plate, backing plates, back plate, lake country backing pad (http://www.autogeek.net/flex-backing-plate.html)

This is the one I use:

Flex-Foam HD Rotary Backing Plate, spot buff backing plate, 3" backing plate, circular polisher backing plate (http://www.autogeek.net/rotary-3inch-backing-plate.html)

I know they call it a 3 inch backing plate but its slightly smaller in reality so there is a small amount of overhang when used with three inch pads which is perfect.
