This is from the AGO store page for Menzerna Super Intensive Polish (SIP-1500).

"If you're looking for a 16 oz. size of this polish, try Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0! It has the same cutting power and flawless results, in a smaller size."

Are these two the same product?

Strange because the SIP is available in 16oz

Not the same, probably personal prefrence...

Unless they finish out differently.

Have you used both?

I've only used SIP.

But both polishes have the same cut.

EDIT.

It is my understanding that Menzerna and Palm Beach Motoring Group "worked together" to develop WGTSR.

"Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover 3.0 is a hybrid of our original Total Swirl Remover formula and Menzerna’s fast-cutting polish for ceramic clear coats. It combines Wolfgang’s diminishing abrasive technology with Menzerna’s special milling process, which produces consistently sized, fast cutting abrasives."

I guess I didn't need to buy the SIP?

Menzerna and PBMG worked together to develop the Wolfgang line up of polishes. Uber, TSR, and FG.

If you have TSR on hand you wont need to pick up SIP as they are identical.

We worked very closely with Menzerna during the development of Wolfgang Uber Compound, Total Swirl Remover, and Finishing Glaze.

Upon first using a Wolfgang polish, you'll immediately notice how much easier they are to wipe off, and how they have a shorter learning curve to dial in the perfect working time, amount of product required on the pad, etc. They are not the same as their Menzerna counterpart.

You're not limited to larger 16 and 32 ounce sizes with the Wolfgang polishes either. If you only plan on doing 1 or 2 vehicles, an 8 oz. bottle of Wolfgang is more than enough.

Thanks Nick

Anyone want to trade for some Menzerna SIP or WGTSR

Looking for enough coating to try on my hood:

-Opti-coat

-CQuartz

-or similar

What about FG? That is a finishing polish correct, but isnt it heavy in oils?

FG is a compound if your referring to Menzerna FG400 if your referring to WG it's the equivalent to SF4500 if I remember correctly.

Supposedly:

SF4500 is equivalent to Wolfgang Finishing Glaze
SI1500 is equivalent to Wolfgang Total Swirl Remover
FG400 is equivalent to Wolfgang Uber Compound

I have used all of these except SF4500. They are very, very similar.

I did find that WGFG was slightly difficult to completely remove, due to the oils in it. I typically follow with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant, so 100% removal with something like Eraser or IPA has not been necessary.
