I was wondering what is the difference int he foams of these two?

CCS Gold Soft Jewelling Applicator Pads 2 Pack (http://www.autogeek.net/gold-ccs-applicators.html)

Lake country ccs applicators, wax applicator, sealant applicator (http://www.autogeek.net/red-ccs-applicators.html)

Arent they both gentle enough for wax applications? I know the yellow is supposed to be super soft, right?

and what side of the pad are you supposed to use?

Pores down, and I use a red LC with my PC and love it.

Not sure really, I have the red ones. According to the comparison chart (Lake Country DA Foam Pads Comparison Chart (http://www.autogeek.net/lake-country-foam-pads.html)), it can be used for fine polishing and glazes.

Neither one has any cut. My opinion, they are so close, you will not notice any difference in result with hand application.

I agree both are very soft and great pads.

Gold applicator is slightly softer like everyone previously said. Both are suitable for the similar or same application.

European finishing foam, and pores' wall thicknesses...not withstanding:

Usually the higher the number of pores per inch (PPI) a foam pad has, will equate to a 'softer' foam.

-Red pad should have a "PPI rating" of:.... ~ 80.
-Gold pad should have a "PPI rating" of:... ~100.

I say: Go for the Gold (Jeweling) pad...
(They cost the same as the Red pads.)
