Do they usually have hot water as the rinse water? I haven't been to one in at least 15 years so I can't remember.

It's warm at the one near me, but I can't say that all of them have warm water.

Probably depends on your location and time of season. In California no

The ones around my neck of the woods have
hot rinse water, and spot-free rinses as well.

Are you going to start using the self-service
car wash stations again?
If so:
Why the sudden interest in doing so...after such a long time?

:)

It's for something else, not car paint.

No. No hot water. I've frequented many. They keep it un-frozen by a trickle drip of what seems like dirty water.

Must this something else remain a secret?

Half of the ones in my area are heated water.

I used to work at a self serve car wash here in Canada. We had hot water 100% of the time, as well as the trickle drip during winter. We also used clean water, unlike other places who reuse the water that goes in the drain pipe.

It really depends on the location.
