This is the first year it came out, on the door it is stamped 1965. But it was made in 1964. And some call it a 1964 1/2 model mustang.

This was a ONR wash.

After the wipe down, I used Pinnacles Ultra Poly Clay to all the exterior surface.

UDM with a white ccs lc pad, and xmt 360. Speed used was between 4-6 on the UDM. Boy was the paint dirty.

The new Pinnacle XMT 180wax was applied to the whole car. Before it was removed with a cobra deluxe jr mf.

On the interior I used Dp Interior Surface Protectant, and diamondite glass cleaner.

Love the pony! Ed, that Mustang looks like it just came off the showroom floor. Very nice job. btw the Mustang debuted on my birthday 4/17 1964 but a different year than I was born.

Nice. Fun to see and I think you could drive a new one away for under $2,400.

I love them 60s cars. The paint looks great, well the whole car dose. I hear a lot of good talk about 180.

Very nicely done Mustang, that blue was a very popular color back then. It brings back memories of my first car. My dad bought me a used 1966 Mustang Fastback. It wasn't very fast, just a 289 2bbl. V8, but it was the best car in the world to me. The original owner had replaced the vents in the fastback with plexiglass windows to resemble the Shelby Mustangs. I got hooked on the Shelby's soon after that and found I had the opportunity to buy a new Shelby GT 500KR in 1968 in a Ford dealer who was a authorized
Shelby dealer. What a great feeling the day I took delivery of that car. British racing green with dual white stripes from tip of the hood to the end of the trunk. It had the 428 cu Police Intercepter V8 and been upgraded at the factory with a Holey 1000 cfm dual feed carb. and all of the standard Shelby
goodies. So sorry I hijacked this tread, please accept my apology.
