I don't think it's the gold wax, because the container looks silver. It's not J-97 - that's black.

We all know its not worth more than 50 dollars. Almond and Peach extract? Im sure our forum scientist Bob, along with forum waxologist Drew Elias could formulate and produce a better product.

Im sorry to say, but chemical guys has built themselves a slightly poor reputation and this puts this cherry on top. I was just in a Facebook group where the person said this..and I quote

" I posted yesterday that Greg Masterson was blowing up my phone because he photoshopped a photo of my Black Wow Pro and shared it on FB and I called him out on it. So now today I find we have a new review on Yelp with 1 star from a girl named Zelda that gave Chemical Guys a 5 star review raving about Greg Masterson being a great teacher. Her Review "I called this company several times and no one answered the phone. I stopped by and I felt completely ignored. Not really impressed with the quality of their customer service. "

It was also noted that he has been banned from several Facebook detailing groups. I'm not one to sit here and knock somebody but those multi thousand waxes are taking detailing in the wrong direction. One reason why I love Palm Beach Motoring/Autogeek so much is the fact that they LIKE to give us good products at GREAT prices. The amount of money I have saved at AG has kept me a loyal customer. Along with great customer service!

That's nutz! Its all about the collector edition and gold value in the case here. Are they numbering them? If they sold all 10 and the next batch is already sold then the value should be going down as they are putting more into the market now. Whatever.... id rather buy a great night in Vegas with hot chicks all over me and bottles of booze all around my table if I wanted to burn my $$$.

I bet when a buyer of this product opens it up it looks like any other paste wax. Would love to see their face!!

Seems to me they made a $10,000 wax for the same reason Miley went crazy... publicity...which leads to people buying their product(s) which ultimately leads to money... It's probably just part of their business model; a tool to increase publicity and/or sales the same way AGO uses the forum to gain product publicity, and boost sales. Neither one is necessarily wrong. That being said, AGO certainly is more tightly-knit and I think there really is a sense of congeniality and benevolence here!

[If we're going to talk about $10k waxes, maybe we should be talking about not the sellers, but rather, the prospective buyers...go watch the short video "Wealth Inequality in America" on the New Economic Institute website... it just highlights the income disparity here...there's nothing wrong with making money but not at the expense of morals or the well-being of the people at large... I worked for a private-jet detailing company this summer and heard a story about one of the G5s I was on...there was an insanely expensive rug (6 digits I think), that something was spilled on....so the rug was replaced...with the same one...makes you wonder what people do for a living hehe xD] Anyway, I digress; and his face did look rather slimy during the video...

I work for a major casino with the wealthiest people in the world coming in. If u saw the amounts of $$ they have and spend here u would be sick. Its like they love to hate money but it keeps coming back to them faster than they can get rid of it. Every 100k they spend in 30 seconds it overshadowed by the million they made the last minute. INSANE AMOUNTS. I almost have no concept of what a dollar is worth anymore until I go into the Dollar Store. LOL

Think of the largest companies u see on tv or have in your town and I probably have met the owners at some time. I love it when there is a battle of who has more $$ to spend on the table and can get rid of it faster. LMAO

Although, it seems to me that when u have so much money u usually win because u can weather the storm until it turns ur way and u start to win. Then its off to the races. Along with that, they get everything for free for playing such huge amounts. So its really weird, the little people give their hard earned money away for nothing in return while the rich get richer. I know people that have been gambling the same way for over 12yrs now and it doesn't phase them to lose 15 million. Its all relative though, its like $.25 cents in a gumball machine for u or I.

Yeah, I read that whole thing about Greg M. supposedly "making fun" of something or other Black Wow was selling. So what? People make fun of Greg all the time. The one guy in that conversation called him a little xxxxxx (demeaning word for homosexual man). Honestly , I thought BW came off pretty bad on that one.

Maybe J-97 sold so well they had to top it with Gold Wax ???

crazy stuff... haha well the dollar store brings up an entirely different issue...those things probably aren't even worth a dollar! That's the other end of the goods spectrum, made with exploited labor, cheap materials etc...but let's not open up that can of worms now. I'm going to stop my rant before it fully starts. :nomore:
