This is my second Porter Cable 7424XP, sold off my old one and picked up another 7424XP with the 25-Foot cable from AG.

Turned it on for a bit and noticed quite a bit of fluid/grease/oil coming out of it.

Is this normal?
I don't remember my first one experiencing this issue.

Will definitely give them a ring, but they're closed now :(
If this is normal / others have experienced it, no big deal for me.
Maybe some others will chime in before I give them a ring tomorrow.

Damns....this isn't good.
It was my first time turning it on too, had it turned on for about 15 seconds straight and turned it off.

It almost looks like bearing grease. Maybe a little too much was added for storage (common if it was a gun- not so much being a powertool.)

I've never heard or seen that from a polisher/sander. Imagine that oil and grease getting all over some nice wood you were sanding...... You'll like the longer cord but I'm very curious as to why you went with another PC instead of something with a little more umph?

Mine did this after a few hours of use, then stopped and never happened again.

Been using it for about 4 years since that with no problems. Don't worry about it.

I can't imagine there is that much oil in there for it to keep leaking.

I loved the results I got from my first PC 7424XP, I also have a Flex 3401 when the times get tough. Both have the 25 Foot cord

Was it this bad though? Theres quite a bit coming out from the unit itself

Same here, thats why I'm a bit worried. Didn't get around to calling AG today, will try and give them a ring tomorrow.

One of mine leaked a bit when new. Super hot garage + laying on its side. A drop or two of oily residue was on the shelf where it was laying. It never leaked anymore after that so I didn't worry about it.

That looks like grease. Could be excess from assembly.

I'm going to run it a bit more for 5-10 minutes or so and see what the outcome is.

After speaking w/ AG Customer Service ^this is what they pretty much said.
