Hi guys, just wanted some tips and advice on looking after your back and body when detailing. I love polishing the hoods of cars because it's nice and easy but by the time I have spent time kneeling on the floor polishing the doors of a car my lower back in particular is really sore. I often find my hands the next day feeling slightly sore or cramped. Just wondered what people have to say about this and looking after yourself for the long run.

I'm a young person so it isn't so bad on me, but that's not to say my body isn't completely jacked. Buckets with lids! Fill with about a gallon or so of water for added stability if you reach too far. I've also put my car on jack stands so it was higher up. It's a tiny car, but I couldn't sit on the ground and control a buffer at the top of the door.

Also, stretch! Toe touches (or as close as you can get) and turning your spine gently like you're popping it and holding the position. No shame in taking an advil before starting either.
