Got a call from one of my regulars that I maintain his cars (c6zo6 Opticoat pro , Camaro race car Opticoat pro, and his lifted f250) well this enclosed had some weird black "staining" all down the sides. He read on many forums where people were using a cleaner called "awesome". Well I arrive and start slow with dawn, the APC at many dilutions with a brush and mitt to no avail and his "awesome" didn't really do much either. I didn't want to go too crazy on this thing to keep the cost down for him. Ended up with the combo of Optimum's GPS coupled with my Rupes 21 and a Meg's MF cutting disc. Hard to tell but in the first pic you can see the difference in panels. This was a much different kind of detail but I gained a lot of knowledge from it and a few more customers. :) started at 9am and finished at 1pm.

Wasn't that bad actually. I switched my traditional 5" to the 6 to give me some more room to work with for time. Ended up great and went through about 15 pads just to keep the cutting ability at its best. It was also 44f today. Brrr it was cold

Duragloss makes a product specifically for those black streaks. Maybe you can refer your customer to it and be his hero for his use in between full details.

I actually read about that but being in a time crunch couldn't get it here in time. I did take your advice and send it to him along wih a few others! :) thanks for the recommendation!

I have two white trailers that I use just for storage in my office back yard. And they are always getting the black streaks that look like something black is dripping down the side.

I have tried many different products to get rid of them and nothing does an easy job of it.
I even "cleaned" right through the powder coat on one of the panels, and still didn't get rid of the black streak. So I just repainted that panel with white Rust-Oleum Epoxy appliance paint and it matched the factory color just fine.

Now I just wash them every other month and give them both a coat of Collinite 476. I found it a Harbor Freight for $2.50 a can.

And I was able to reach the top. But all I did was wash them and spray them with WD-40 and wipe them down with a towel. I did try to see what would be required to make the tiop shine like new and it was way too much work. A 6 by 6 inch spot took thirty minutes to make "new".
