Collinite #845

Going to be using this product tomorrow. I have done my research, also read Nicks thread on #845 but wondering how long are you letting it sit/ haze before removing?

I have read thin, thin, thin is the key. I'll probably do a test panel first before finishing the entire car.

apply to half the car and buff off. I usually start on the hood + drivers side and then trunk + passengers side

I usually work 2 or 3 panels ahead in warm weather. Rarely is it on for more than 10 minutes.

One good tip I picked up on here is to let the bottle sit in a sink of hot water for 10-15 minutes and shake vigorously........

Wow, I waited a good 30 or so minutes on the two vehicles I have used it on. Used a red ccs pad, went on super thin too.

I stick the bottle in the microwave on high for 15-20 seconds and then shake it real good. You just need to make sure you take the lid off when putting it in the microwave or you could end up with a pressurized bottle of wax.

I apply and let it sit on the paint for about 10 minutes and wipe off.

Yes, thin is good but I've over done it a few times and it still wipes off with ease.

Used it the other day and removed when finished with the SUV with no problem.

I let the car sit 30-45 minutes after full application. I used a DA, so coating a small/medium car took very little time. I buffed it out by had with no issues at all.

I let it sit for 30-40m.

I have tried for the heck of it to spread it out and let it sit for only 5m: still got normal sheeting and beading, but durability might be compromised by doing this. Regardless, it was just a quick test for my own curiosity.

Edit: I should have added that there was still sheeting and beading after about 2 months; then I stripped it off.

Step one: Collinite 845: warm bottle (I use microwave)
845 is user friendly,
Outside temp/humidity controls) the haze time, just use the finger swipe test and you be good to remove.

As for 476 I strongly suggest "ONE panel" at a time only. YMMV but feel free to try it your way.

I go one panel at a time and have had no issues with removal or longevity.

I don't think I'd use the microwave. Let it sit in hot water for about 10 minutes, shake vigorously then let it sit another 10 minutes and shake again. I start removing 30 minutes after I have finished the whole car, in the order I put it on. If you put it on thin, there won't be any issues removing it. I try to keep the car dry for 24 hours after application.

One panel at a time w/ #476 and #915 is surely safe and ok to do but in my extensive use of all 3 (#476, 845 and 915) I've been able to apply to the entire car and then remove, ensuring that it has properly hazed over. When doing this I've had NO issues w/ removal and NO dust!
