I've done a good amount of polishing with these pads. Although they're expensive, they're well worth it! I've only used the green, yellow and white. They all cut and finish well for their respective categories. While the face is 6", with the "angle cut", there's less foam to have to rotate compared to a traditional 6" pad, which makes the Rupes pads efficient on a PC style DA. I really like the feel of the pads when polishing. Can't wait to try them on the Rupes Duetto!!

Hi Mark...

I probably have a slightly different reason for not using the
RUPES Blue (Coarse) Foam Pad than you may have.

That notwithstanding:
I also wouldn't use Rupes Zephir Gloss Coarse Gel Compound.
Not saying I perceive it to be "bad" compound, though.

I, too, am anxious to try out the Duetto...and the Mini!!

Ummm, after I used these pads I wanted to throw all my "other" pads in the garbage. Not only are they built like iron, but the are 100% round: something other pads are not. They don't seem to gum up either.

I tried an"other" pad on my Rupes. It was not the same. The machine lost its perfect balance. Rupes pads all the way.

I use other companies polishes for the most part with the Rupes pads.

No. Just green and white. Until the next good sale. I'm only buying their pads from now on.

Have you used their pads with any other polishes? I'm looking to pick some up soon after reading your review about the rupes and I was thinking yellow and white but really not sure they seem to close to each other in cut.

They're not that close in cut.

I've used the white with Amigo. Worked perfect.

So do you prefer these pads over Buff n Shines on a porter cable style DA?

Good to know. I need to pick up some more pads soon. Will definitely give these some consideration.

Yeah the rupes pads are boss. Love em. They are very tough, I've used all the colors and all their polishes. All is holding up well.
