I will be claying my car then applying DG 601/105 then topping off with aqua wax. Would applying Collinate 845 apply a better shine/have any added benefit or is that just excessive? Thank you

It would only be for looks. The Collinite will be long gone before the DG 105 so you aren't going to prolong the 105 by topping it. Layering LSPs is not a addition process in terms of longevity.

They both deteriorate chemically at the same time despite one being either on the top or bottom.

I used to do a combo of 501/601 + 105/601 + Colli 845 for a funeral home that I did their coaches. These vehicles get washed almost daily and they would last a year with that combo. I highly recommend it.

Yur better off changing the sequence....

DG 601/105, followed by 845, then topped with Aquawax from time to time. That will probably get you a year easily.

I think your plan is fine, except use the Colli over the 105. Save your Aquawax for a mid-winter booster if you feel you need it. I've been using two coats of 845 or 476 for the past winters and it got me well into spring on DD's that stay outside 24/7.Thanks to a generous gift of DG samples from Tim (Dad07), I went with a 501 cleaning, followed a few weeks later with 105/601 and topped with 476. If it works for Richy in the Great White North, it oughta get me thru here in PA.
IMO, 105 doesn't have the initial "pop" of Collinite, but I really like how well it sheds dirt on a DD. I use Aquawax in nicer weather as a drying aid, but I'm going to attempt to resist using it through the winter just to see how the 105 /476 combo holds up.

How sure are you of this? Maybe a test on two different panels would be the only way to tell. One panel having layered and the other just having one sealant.
