I recently purchased my a new car, 07 STI (Color: Crystal Gray Metallic) and have an 03 Corolla (Color: Lunar Mist).

I've been washing the cars now with the 2 bucket method and waxed the STI car with Natty's past wax. Haven't done waxing with the the Corolla because I wanted to get the swirls out first. So I was looking into buying a PC or UDM and was wondering what was needed to remove the swirls and maintain both the cars (how often to wax and how to keep it looking good). The STI has metallic that pops out while the Corolla can barely see metallic pop, unless the reason was me not waxing it/maintaining it.

Hi, the metallic pop you dont see in the corolla could just be the paint job itself...not necessarily your doing......this is a nice kit if your looking to get a P.C. you could top your cars with liquid soveran....
Pinnacle polishes plus the Porter Cable 7424 kit (http://www.autogeek.net/pitwpocaspof.html)

good luck.......:)

You will have to try differant combinations of prouducts
to get your desired result. Toyota paint has small flakes
as some others have larger flakes that are more pronounced.

I just did my 03 Corolla and am happy with the results
the pinn advanced finishing polish really brought the flakes
out and darkened it a little whitch I liked and then put pinn Sig II
on and was pleased, the odd thing was the next mourning it looked
twice as good as when I finished it the night before, maybe just me...

You can have a look at : http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/pinnacle-wax/6951-souv-sig-ii-review.html

Welcome to forum, plenty of info and prouduct to get your desired result
