This is the first black car I've ever owned, and only the fourth or fifth machine detailing I've done to our personal cars. Over all I'm pretty happy with the results.
This was a new car with only a few very light swirls. The paint was very smooth and after a few test runs on various panels with the clay bar, it showed no sign of contaminates, so I skipped that step all together.
I was racing the setting sun, so I didn't take any before pictures. Since this is metallic paint and the swirls were very mild, there really wasn't much to see.
Here is what I used.
Meguiars Gold Class Car Shampoo
Klasse AIO (on wheels and random water spots on body)
Poorboys World Bug Squash
Poorboys World Black Hole Glaze
Collinite 845
The glaze and 845 were applied by DA using a finishing pad. The wheels received 845 as well.
The interior was hit top-to-bottom with 303 Aerospace. It took the interior from a dry/faded gray color back to the "like new" black a new car should have.
