This is another referral from the previous work I did on the 2003 Tiburon.

2005 Grand Caravan

Exterior Process

Wash:
I used Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo with two bucket method and the white ShMITT.

Clay:
Used my buddy Ricardo Clay, I was impressed with the clay because this vehicle had lots of tar/sap and who knows what else and the Ricardo Clay made easy work of all the contaminants…wicked clay.

Polish
Optimum Poli-Seal – Metabo – Lake Country Orange pad – 1500rpm = This product finishes very nice and hardly anything to wipe off, very nice product and it removed some intimidating swirls…hard to capture with the camera due to the color of the vehicle but they were eliminated.

Wax:
1 – coat of Liquid Souveran.

Tire dressing/wheel wells:
For the tires and the wheel wells I used Meguiars Hot shine Tire Spray.

Exterior plastic peaces/trim:
I used Mothers Back to Black.

Glass:
Stoners with glass Cobra MF

Engine bay:
Used a degreaser found locally 1:1 and dressed with Meguiars Hot shine Tire Spray.

Interior Process:

Vinyl and rubber:
I used Meguiars #40, but prior to it I gave the entire vehicle a nice wipe down with Meg’s APC mixed with water 10:1.

Carpet:
Meguirs APC so I used it on the carpet and seats as well 10:1 ratio again. I scrubbed with a brush then extracted it with my shop-vac.

Now for pictures:

couple of questions? That tire spray you put on the engine... its water and not silicone based right? reason being is normal tire shine it flammable, the engine dressing i use is water based. second, did you detail with that watch on the whole time??? if so, that's a big NO, NO.

sneek - Yea the van tourned out prity good, I was happy with the results. Took me 10hrs. I started it on friday and I wanted to get it over with and went 10hrs straight.

Dust2Glory - If I'm not mistaken it's whater based, I'm going to have to check on that...thanks for briging that up. Oh no I never detail with those type of clothes/jewelery on :D. I usually look like a bum when I'm in the garage :D I took the after pictures this morning...I finished the vehicle to late on Friday, no sun so I took the pictures early in the morning.

Nica, you kicked butt on that mini-van. You said you wanted to focus more on your interior details, from the pics I'd say you're lookin' great. Exterior came out awesome as always. Very nice job.

Great work as always, Carlos! Nice gloss to that minivan. Interior and engine bay look great as well. Did you use your Metabo on the roof of that minivan? If you did, my hats off to you! That's a pain in the rear! I don't polish the roof of my SUV. Too many rubber strips/ribs and I ain't standing on no ladder to polish! Just wash and wax.

ehuth1 - Thank you for the compliments, I have to admit the exterior came out great with a nice gloss to it...I parked my Lexus beside it to see which one looked better and I stood there scratching my head because they both looked good.

pirex - Thanks buddy, the owner was blown away by the engine...I have to admit I was too :D

AL417 - Thank you, yea I'm very pelased with the interior..still trying somethings out technique wise and it's helping. Glad you liked it buddy.

DanielSwe - Man that is a compliment a pro saying he would do business with me, thank you my friend really appreciate your comliment.

alban61 - Thank you for the compliment, yes I did use my Metabo on the roof too. Surprising I didn't find it to be a pain, it was actually quite easy but I know what you mean about SUV's roof...SUV compard to a Van are a little different...it was a good test for me and I was happy to step up to the challenge.

sparkie - Thanks bro, yea your right I have been doing some work on the side and on top of that work has me burried with paper hahahaha but I always look forward to the weekends. I'm trying to kick my detailing up, you know to keep up with pro's like your self buddy. Yea sorry about the PM's :o just haven't had time to respond as quickly as I normaly do.

Oh you guys should see the other vehicle I got...when I saw it I was  blown away by it, I was going to pass on it but I saw it as a challenge for my self and I never turn down a challenge..just finishing it up today, I'll be posting within a few hours.
