I don't see why Step 2 of the Mother's California Gold Ultimate wax System
couldn't be used as a polish to "clean" the paint.

However:

-Mothers California Gold Step 3: Pure Carnauba Wax (Liquid or Paste)

As FUNX725 mentioned, Step 1 (now called "Pure Polish" - the name changed a couple years ago) would be more appropriate.

Step 2 Sealer and Glaze (now "Micro-Polishing Glaze") is a glaze, not a cleaner.

Calcined kaolin clay [CAS# 66402-68-4] sometimes is used as a:
Polishing/burnishing agent...instead of a "filler"...in detailing products.

Is calcined kaolin clay the finest grade of kaolin?

Is calcined kaolin clay the finest grade of kaolin?
Is it anhydrous/non-anhydrous?

I've heard of:
Ultrafine High Gloss Calcined Clay...Don't know if it's "kaolin clay", or not.

Kaolin clays are graded and sorted by their particle sizes (in microns),
often after undergoing many processing steps...
maybe even with some 'bleaching' along the way.

An example:
"Size 3-micron" yellow and/or white kaolin/china-clays,
are considered cosmetic grade kaolin.

The product has fillers in it. That's what glazes are. You mentioned wanting a pre-wax cleaner.

07100 Pure Polish (old name Pre-Wax Cleaner) has no fillers/glazes in it. I think it's more appropriate to your needs.
