Sometimes you just can't win.

The amount of effort both I and the owner put in, to make sure that the dealership doesn't do any damage to the paint, was still not enough this time.

A few months ago I prepped and Opti Coated the husbands few months old X5 in Bend Oregon, that was damaged by the dealership. Within a week, they ordered this X3 for the wife. She insisted on black but she was ok with Sapphire Black. :props:

The car finally came in last week, but this time they are in Eugene Oregon for work. The owner found a shop that he felt good about putting on a clear bra kit. I instructed him to give the installer his fluffy towels I had him order to maintain the finish on the X5. He forgot. Naturally the paint got trashed underneath the clear bra and any other area the installer wiped off. The rest of the paint was swirl free.

So once again, instead of having a pretty straightforward and easy detail, I had to push hard to finish on time. The shop owner was kind enough to let me do the work there.

(Owners rental only has a carport and the weather was rainy all day).

Here are the after pictures, as usual, in a hurry.

The proud owner wanted to pose for the picture.

Thank you gents for your positive comments. The car sure came out glossy. Opti Coat is a great product. Really adds to the finish after polishing.

No, why would I do that? I am a pro detailer, that wouldn't help my case for long, would it? :props: I did crop each picture. Now to be fare, I do not use my crappy Iphone to take pictures, so that helps a lot. I shoot raw and convert to Jpeg in lightroom. Does that help?

Absolutely, I wasn't questioning your credibility, they just look almost too good to be true. Great job on the car! Now they just have to keep it away from the dealer :-p
