After last night I think im done with Megs 105.
Yes it works but it was a pain in the butt to work with. I had to keep wetting it with water and it was really really hard to remove. I feel I can change the pad up a notch n use 205 which is so much easier to get the same results. What would u guys recommend to replace 105 in another product. Something more workable and doesnt fry up so fast. Something that is easier to remove. Thanks

Try Meguiars ultra cut. M205 wont cut anywhere close to M105. Or prime your pad with 205, then use 105 to cut.

I had a heck of a time trying to get M105 to work while I was in the high heat atmosphere of Vegas. I since switched to FG400 and couldnt be happier.

If you can get the same results using 205, then you should be giving us advice

I think you meant Ultimate Compound

FG400 is a fantastic compound, however I personally like to use it with foam pads as I tend to get better results.

If I need heavier cut (ie microfiber cutting pads) then I will almost always use "M405" - a combo of D300 and M105. Prime the pad with D300 and then use M105 as your working product. This makes the working time MUCH longer and makes it simple to wipe the product away. If you haven't tried this, I would highly recommend it before tossing your M105.

UC is an over the counter product. Its not as strong as 105 and I did get great results with 205, it just took more time and passes. The heat in Vegas IS a killer! I had my roommate use an off brand HD compound and then Vibra Cut II followed by 205 and it was flawless. Re-thinking my approach.

You would be surprised what UC can do. You could add a little UC to 105 and see if that helps.

UC cuts well with long work time, then simply follow up with 205.
I love this combo.
Over the past couple of years I've corrected some thrashed paint using only UC.

Im sure it works well, but its still the lowest grade of product that they make. Detailers line is the 2 best and mirror glaze is top notch. I would rather mix 205 in with the 105 but mixing these products is saying you don't know how to use either. Its not how they are supposed to be used not that I always follow directions but that's exactly what you are saying when you mix them. I will end up getting the FG400 and use it how its supposed to be used. If I cant master one product im not going to mix another into it. Thats like saying I have 4 bald tires and only going to replace 2 of them. It may help but its not the right solution.

go with menzerna or uber compound. I am done with 105 and will never go back. The uber compound is soo much easier. Great experiences with menzerna also.

As I hear I am going to try that stuff out. Thanks

I am told that I could have the old version of 105 as well. HMMM, makes me wonder about trying it out again. Naaah, I will spend my money on something else this time. I have about 3 other kinds as well so im not worried. Just mad I couldn't get the 105/205 combo to work as good as others. Oh well,,.....for each their own.

M105/D300 on a LC orange pad works great for me if I am working with a heavily swirled vehicle.

I prime the pad with D300, then dab two dots of M105 and D300.

Here is an iPhone picture so excuse the quality.

man you people use way to much product.
you only need a few drops. ever.
The only time this has ever happend to me was when I used a glob of it.
you don't need water or anything for it to work.
a few drops and thats it.
