I found this on a customers car...

DO NOT WAX....

The dealers sold the warranty to this poor customer for $3000. Her paint is waste! I waxed it for her but it didn't do much.

That's bad, looks like they need to file a warranty claim....

Sand down and repaint...... Body shop time...

Wow, $3000!!!! That's really unfortunate that she got hosed over that deal.

Ouch. What year was the car? Was it originally applied when new or was it something she picked up used and bought then even though the paint was trashed?

Wow, that's too bad for her. Even at the PORSCHE dealer I think it was somewhere around $1,000 for the paint protection. I think if you want the leather, Alcantara, and fabric coated then it jumps to the $3,000 range.

The only nice thing about the paint protection (crap) they offer is: it covers all rock chips for free under warranty. Still, that being said, the aforementioned is terrible and should always be declined. If you want paint protection, opt for a coating and a clear bra.

Hopefully your customer gets her paint covered under dealer warranty. Live and learn, I suppose...

Sorry, her total warranty with paint, rust, and leather was $3000. It was applied when the car was new 7 years ago. The warranty was good for 5 years. Yes she will need to paint it. Funny because people come in to our shop with paint like this and they want us to try and correct it! Too late for this poor lady, she was very nice and tipped $40 on top of the $55 wash and wax she received.

As PT Barnum said..."There's a sucker born every minute", she and many others have been taken to the cleaners on shams and scams

The sad thing was all she had to do is wax the thing 2 or 3 times a year or have it waxed and it would have been fine.

One bottle of NXT would have done that.... It would have lasted the whole 7 years easy.

I guess they use the 5 year warranty number because usually clear coat failure will occur after the 5 years so they're covered lol.
