Please let everyone know what car and paint color this will be used for. Older car, newer car, light paint, dark paint, condition of paint, etc. All the stuff you have listed looks good to me as far as everything I've been reading on the boards.

I guess you'll be doing the detail thing on a regular basis.

One thing you forgot....CLAY!

Sweet. What a great start. You might consider adding clay & clay lube.

Looks good to me, if anything I would just switch the SSR's to Optimum Polish and Optimum Compound, or even some stuff from Menzerna. I'd also pick up some clay and clay lube, what about Micros (for glass and paint)? you have any?

I looks like you have all of the bases covered except clay and microfiber towels for removing products. Other than that I wouldn't change anything ... mighty fine products that you'll be getting.

that was going to be exact advice.. SSR takes a while to break down and dusts.. optimum will not dust and is easier to work with... either that or the XMT line as it desgined for a PC

I have a 2007 Lexus IS250 that is jet black. It doesn't have anything but just a handful of minor swirls. Would the XMT 360 be a better choice than the PB products? I will be detailing this regularly and it should be pretty much spotless at all times. I still have ane more claybar from my Zaino tht I can use. I did clay the car before I applied the Zaino about 8 weeks ago. Should it be done again?

Why these other products over the PB line?

Why these other products over the PB line?Don't get me wrong, I love Poorboys products, but Optimum and Menzerna are at the top for polishes, Optimum has long works times and no dust, even the compound finishes down like a polish.

edit - my biz partner has a black IS350, great car, just wish it had a manual trans. Lexus paint is pretty soft, XMT360 should work fine on light swirls instead of a full polish. I still say grab Optimum Polish as if XMT 360 doesn't work you have something to step up to.

Someone more knowledgeable needs to chime in on your question. I was lucky enough to not have any swirls on my MS3, so I went straight to the Klasse Twins and WGDGPS. Something's tuggin at my brain saying XMT 360 needs to be applied by machine.

BTW, my mom has a 2007 IS250 that is the red color (can't remember the name) and I need to take the swirls outta that also.

You should add the Pinnacle clay bar and get a gallon of the DP 4n1 to use as a quick detailer and a clay lube. You can never have enough quick detailer spray! I have learned that quickly! Other than that the wolfgang+pinnacle combo kit you have will be awesome on the black.

In my experiences personally, I would swap out the PC for the UDM. Overall its a much better machine to work with, and will yield great results. Price is the same as well.

As far as polishes go, will you be working in full sun? Just from my experiences the PB line seems to be the most sun-friendly polish I've tried, even though it dusts quite a bit more compared to OPT and Menz.

Do you have a PC? I see all them polishes, just wondering.

I have never used a machine to polish before the the idea that the UMD can harm the paint freightens me somewhat.

I was planning on also getting the PC kit with the CCS pads.
