No, I told her I wanted a new toy and she said to get it. She knows I love cars and anything to do with them. I spend everyday fixing something on someones car or mine. She IS great!

NOTE: Its not like she doesn't have 3 coach bags sitting around. lol

By the way, after using this Flex I wont be going back to the old DA. Its a beast! If you don't own one, its a mush have. Night and day!!!

I gotta get some paying clients first and break even on what I have befor I break the bank on a Flex. Can the pads I ahve now work with the flex or do you order different 5.5 pads>

Flex comes with a 6.5 inch backing plate, but IIRC lake county is the brand that offers 5.5 and 4 inch backing plates for the flex.

Note: the bp size I mentioned might be .5 too high, but they are for those size pads mentioned. Just in case anyone wants to get technical.

I think i ordered 6.5 and also it came with 3 of its own. The 6.5 are a little big so i think the 5.5 will work nicely. I used both today and no problems with either. I actually like a little oversized ones. Also, if you have Velcro pad already they will stick right on. Its no problem to use the old ones you already have. I just wanted everything new for my new toy. Showing it some love so it loves me back.

The Pad cleaner it came with was amazing although i never have tried any pad cleaner other than APC or Dawn soap. I also liked the other liquid prep(Primer) for the pad. Its easier than smoothing a bunch of polish or compound or liquid wax on the pad before you use it. Nothing on my hands and its in a nice spritzer bottle as well. The 10ft cord leaves something to be desired as they offer a 25ft one but i will use my extension cord rather than pay an addition $55 bucks for the longer cord. (no biggie) It also came with an awesome bag to put the FLEX in and all your goodies. Very large and has straps for your bottles inside. Pretty complete all in all. NICE JOB AGO!

On a sad side note,..I just tried to zip the Flex bag that I got and zipper 1broke. So I went to the other zipper and it broke just as easy :(
I didnt apply any pressure so I was horrified when this happened. I will call AGO tomorrow and see what they say. 3hrs in n a little disappointed.

Same happened to me, but one of my zippers was broken before I even opened it. Call customer service and they will send you a replacement bag. They told me this is a known problem and have no issue sending out a replacement.
AGO customer service is great....
If you enjoy your Flex as much as I do you will be in polishing heaven.... Buy the B/P system and smaller pads. I used 4" on mine and I am able to do almost everything. Keep you DA for small jobs, get a 3" B/P and some pads.
Enjoy your new Toy..

Thanks, I sent Nick an email and I will purchase the 4" bp system. Great advice.

Why dont you just get the 30in stanley metal tool box that has been posted up. you can keep both the DA and the Flex in there and pads and stuff. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/71885-son1c-synopsis-55-how-create-your-own-detailing-tool-box-tutorial.html
