Just got all my polishes in to start working with them only to realize my polisher that I have not used yet has a 6 " backing plate. I have 5.5" pads. I found a 5" backing plate locally but it only fits a rotary. I know you can order an adapter online but I really need one today. Is there anywhere that sells those? Checked a couple places already with no luck. Or any company that sells 5" backing plate OTC ??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Not sure why I thought the polisher had a 5" plate :-(

Where are you?

You could cut the 6" plate with an X acto Knife

Saw a 5" bp @ my local Lowe's store last weekend with the Porter Cable display.
YMMV.

I looked for the thread using a drill to spin the bp and x acto knife.
Couldn't locate.

I'm in Mississippi.

I'm nervous that if I cut it with an exacto knife it wouldn't be balanced :-(. Ordered an adapter screw on eBay. Wish I could get started today
