I had a chance to detail just the paint on my VTX today. Don’t look at the chrome or other parts :) . Since there’s hardly any surface area and my paint was not in the best shape I took it through the XMT test.

Washed with DP 4 in 1
4” green Edge pad for XMT4/XMT3
4” white for XMT2/XMT1
XMT180 wax by hand
Let sit for 10 minutes to a haze
Buffed off with Cobra MF
This is the second time I’ve used this wax and I’m really beginning to like it a lot. The weather was a little more forgiving this afternoon, in the low 80’s compared to 93 when I waxed the Frontier last Saturday. Buffing the wax off by hand was so much easier today.

My before pics are not too good but I think you’ll like the afters. The Candy Apple Red metallic paint simply popped after using this wax. I also took this opportunity to change out the look of my bike. It went from cruiser to street rod in about five minutes. Different seat, no windshield and no bags, I like to change it up once in a while.

Awesome Candy on that VTX!! Nice Work Al, I love the change to the cruiser to street rod too. I've only owned Crotch Rockets, but I'm due for a cruiser in the future!! I actually sold VTX's for about a year at a Honda Dealership her in GA, very nice bikes.

Sometimes that "crap ;) " will hold some key stuff like rainsuits or maybe eventools, but yea the clean cruiser look does look nice. For long trips I would be sure to have that windshield handy or your shirt would be gutted out with BUGZ!!

Thanks guys! I'm very happy with the way the paint turned out. XMT180 was so easy to use and buffed off real nice.

I like the meaner street look on my bike too. It's just not practical though on most rides. On the upside my Boss Bags can hold 36 cans of any 12 oz beverage of choice in each bag. :D
I've never tested this but it's true. Besides if I'm ridin' the strongest thing I'd drink is a Mountain Dew.

Really nice bike, but I'm a little confused. Thought AL stood for Alice, but the picture doesn't look like an Alice to me. LOL Please clarify.

What, jeans and a baseball cap have you confused??? I ride in jeans, boots, jacket, gloves and I wear a helmet. Helmet=hat head, baseball cap is an easy solution.
Were you expecting me to have a dress on??? Fat Chance!;) :D

Cool, Al. Next time a bikini might help. No insults, but thought it might be your hubby.
