Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has done any durability testing on Polymer Net shield. I know they state 6 months on the bottle but id like to hear what you guys have experienced.

Also, does anyone know how long you have to wait to expose it to water? Cant find the info anywhere.

Thanks!

I believe it can be exposed to water right away... I'm not saying power wash it, but if you've gotta drive in the rain I don't think it'll hurt it.

Not sure about any threads that talk about durabiltiy but it's worth searching the below thread and reading what Forrest saw with this product after we used it on his 1987 Corvette...

De-tape and Seal with SONAX Polymer Net Shield
After we removed all the masking tape and cover-up towels and wheel maskers we re-wiped any residues off the paint and then applied the SONAX Polymer Net Shield

Apply by hand
Directions on the label say to apply by hand to a small section, work in and the remove before moving onto the next section.

Careful wiping
While some of the guys were applying the Polymer Net Shield, others were carefully wiping off the excess using the very soft, rolled edge green microfiber towels.

In the Texas heat and sun, I've gotten 3 months and counting so far on the paint. I applied some to my wheels about a month ago, and it's still going strong.

BMW wheels to be specific, I just hit'em with some soapy water and a brush, leaves them squeaky clean. Definitely going to save me money in the long run on Sonax FE wheel cleaner.

I use it all the time and its been on my car for 5 months and still going. The key to using it is not to let it dry cause it will be a pain to get off. Just wipe it on and wipe if off. I do a 2x2 section at a time.
