Been a while since I've done a write up so bare with me.

Got a call from a buddy I play softball with about his uncle who owns a few businesses and has his Bentley(s) 'detailed' regularly but isn't ever satisfied. He passed along my number to give me a shot after showing him a few of my write ups and how his paint COULD look. I cleaned up his Range Rover a few weeks back and gave him a quote on this Bentley and we opted for the full shebang. Full correction and Opti Coat. The paint was verrrrrrryyyyyy hard on this big girl.

Exterior:

ONR wash
Speedy Prep towel Medium w/Meg's Last Touch 1:1
Meguiars Non Acid Wheel Cleaner 4:1 w/various brushes
APC 4:1 on all rubber and wheel wells w/various brushes

Meguiars D300 w/Rupes 21/Griots 3" and Meg's MF Polishing Disc's

Definitely a lot of real estate on this big gal. The Rupes made quick work of it though. Only 11 hours in it too.:buffing:

Wow! You were hustling!

Time is money! In all seriousness I have a lot of thanks to give to Advocare products. I've been taking them for a while now and even my fitness regime I don't get fatigued. I try to be the most prepared for jobs like this when I can. Making sure I only make 'one trip' back to my bag for a period of time. Meal Replacement shakes, water right next to me etc. I've taken a lot of time to find out what works with what I do and how to keep time management most effective with the least amount of time wasted.

How does that rap song go by Rick Ross? EVERY DAY IM HUSTLIN. :props::buffing:

And this is the power of a discussion forum to help get you high-end clients for your detailing business and that's teaching yourself how to write a professional write-up for your work.

This means learning how to,

Write a good write-up

Take good before, during and after pictures.

Resizing your pictures to sane size.

Uploading them to a photo gallery where they won't disappear over time.

Using the tags or [I]Image Tags to "insert" your pictures not the lame way of "attaching" pictures.

Just use the basics of writing
A good write-up means using complete sentences and paragraphs along with bold headings, bulleted lists and always plenty of white space. Inserting at 2 empty lines between paragraphs is a good rule of thumb.

Lots of white space
What you don't what to do is type all your text as one HUGE block of text as no one will read it and thus you waste the entire purpose of the write-up. The purpose of write-up is to get your reader to not only look at the pictures but read your text. Learn to break up your text into smaller paragraphs and make liberal use of the [ENTER] key to add white space between paragraphs.

Bold Headings
Another professional technique is to use bold headings to start a new paragraph when introducing a new topic. A bold heading quickly separates the new topic from the rest of the text and tells your reader what the paragraph is about.

Bulleted Lists
People love to read bulleted lists as they tend to be easy on the eyes to read, especially on a computer monitor or some other electronic display and the share a lot of information in short, concise nuggets of information.

Photo Gallery Hosted Pictures
Attaching an image is lame at best. I for one normally won't even click on a thumbnail to bring up the full size image except when helping others solve detailing related problems.

It's not that hard to teach yourself how to take the pictures off your camera or cell phone, crop out the fluff, resize to around 800 pixels wide and then upload them to a gallery where they will endure overtime.

Photobucket and the rest of their ilk
The problem with using Photobucket to host your pictures is that most people don't and won't sign-up or and pay for a professional account. This means they only use the free account. When they run out of free server space what they do is delete old pictures to make room for new pictures.

The effect this has is to leave a cyber trail all over the Internet where the pictures were posted with missing pictures.

Lame.

If you're a member of AGO you can upload and host your pictures for free for life. I have articles on all the topics I've listed above on how to work with pictures on discussion forums. So there's really no good excuse to use free picture hosting websites.

Nice work again Brian. Nice detailing work, nice write-up, excellent pictures.

And... a very cool car to showcase your skills and talent and the kind of write-up you can use to gain even more quality customers into the future.

Great job bud! man these cars are massive. Looks like you've really thought out your time management process. It’s something i still battle with. Slowly but surely I’m trying to become more and more efficient.
