I was going to be a nice brother tonight and polish up my sister neglected rodeo and my pad was dusting sooo bad that I just gave up bc it was annoying the crap out of me. I was using XMT 3 and also XMT 360 and they both were dusting up on two diff. pads.

The pads are 6" edge 2000 if that matters.

Identical experiences here Frank. Same products; same pads. I don't know what to do to but I think guys have talked about tricks to reduce the dusting.
Curious, does your XMT 3 seem dry when it comes out of the bottle? Mine does.

mine did seem very dry, I shook it up for about 30 seconds and it still came out dry, maybe the oils in the polish have dried up or something??????

Are you using XMT Pad Conditioner? I've been using the entire XMT line-up with the Pad Conditioner and there's no dusting even in direct sunlight.

I get some pretty good dusting with 3 no matter what I do, but I have yet to notice any with the 360..

I was using the pad conditioner as well. About four or five squirts right from the start.

I was using the pad conditioner as well. About four or five squirts right from the start.

^^^Same here but only at first when the pad's being loaded. No more spritzes while polishing.

Maybe you're pushing down too hard..that'll cause dusting too.

alright I seem to have it under control now.

I spritzed both sides of the pad with some QD right from the start. And I had just detailed my pad and let them soak for about 3 hours in some dawn and rinsed em out. This seems to have really dried out the pads so they need to be beaten out and than heavily conditioned so they dont dust too bad.

Going to follow your lead. Thanks Frank.
