I have not tried this but I read IPA also works.

I have a car I can try it on, will let you know tonight.

Tapes not cheap but on the other hand neither is time!

All purpose cleaner on a towel and scrub. IPA will work but can start to break down the rubber not that a single event will do much harm. Still best practice is to keep IPA away from rubber.

I've started using 1Z Einszett Plastic Vinyl Deep Cleaner to clean trim, cleans well and doesn't cause any problems with trim.

Not sure if anyone else does this, however I generally apply the trim protectant before paint sealants as it made any required cleanup less laborious.

I actually use creamy peanut butter on a microfiber towel. rub a little on th etrim and the oils from the peanut butter release the sealant. Wipe with a clean microfiber and the stains are removed.

I have roof rack rails on my Dodge Nitro that is texetured and it works great.

What sealant are you trying to remove?

Do you have a picture?

I though most of them were compatible with trim?

I have used Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant on trim and it looks great.

Who would have thought that something you eat would be good for detailing too :)

I regularly use D156 (a.k.a. UQW) on exterior trim. Looks nice and lasts a long time.

I almost hate to ask, but how did you find out that this works
