Correction with 4 in pad..

Hey...

Are there any drawbacks in using the 4 in pads...
besides taking more time..

I plan on doing 1 or 2 panels at a time , I feel the 4 in is a better handle for me
also I don't need to switch pads in mid stream to get to tight spots..

comments?

Not really just a lot more time really! I would get a 5inch backing plate and save your self a lot of time.

A drawback is it's easier to overheat a 4" pad than a larger pad...which can destroy the pad, the backing plate, etc.

I have trouble running 4" pads at speed 6 on my FLEX 3401.

If you catch an edge or don't maintain proper contact with the surface...they go flying!

I never use 6..mostly 4 & 5

Understand that , but only doing a panel or 2 and I do frequent checks in feeling if there's heat on the pad
