what is your favorite part of a vehicle to work on?

Before yall even start, I know you will make fun of me and say its janitor work. But my favorite part of the vehicle to detail is interiors. I am just as, if not more OCD about my interior as I am the exterior/paint.

I realize that that paint is worth more in terms of money and it is harder to get to perfection than an interior but in my opinion having a great looking interior is just as important. at least to me it is.

Being a country boy if I'm not working (I detail for a living) then I am spending 90% of my time hunting and fishing and doing things that are not done on a paved road. I have come to the realization that I am not going to be able to keep the paint perfectly flawless 100% of the time being I am doing allot of activities that require driving of dirt roads ALL THE TIME. But even with my life style I can still have that perfect flawless interior with allot less effort.

Gotta be the trunk. Why?

- nice flat surface easy to work on. No bending, reaching, or kneeling. Easy to machine polish.

- just the right size

- no rock chips like the hood usually has

Come see me. I'll clean the junk off yo trunk.

I'm with swanic...definately the trunk and specifically the final jewel phase. For all the same reasons swanic stated, easy to work on and usually 2 sections to do it!

I really like doing the wheels and tires because on most vehicles these areas never get thoroughly cleaned so when you finally do clean them it makes the entire vehicle look so much better.
It's kind of like wearing a really nice outfit and then having some crappy, dirty shoes on. The wheels and tires make a huge difference to the end product.

I love and hate doing the inner fender wells.

I hate it because....... well duh.

I love it because the reward is so great.

I say this maybe because I have a Suburban and a Yukon XL. Dirty wells on a SUV look horrible.

Windshield & mirrors. Daily. Most every time I stop when travelling. As clear/clean as I can get it.
