Does dust have any effects on polishing and/or waxing?

It seems as soon as I washed the car , all the dust detours to my car :cry:

Just give the area your going to work on a quick spray with a quick detailer and wipe off then go to work.

You don't want to have a dirty surface when your going to polish or wax.
